Pension in Turkey
Turkey - is a highly developed Asian state that provides its citizens not only with a high standard of living, stability and considerable wages, but also with very good pensions. Turkish pensioners note that living in Turkey on one pension is quite realistic.
There are enough benefits not only to eat well, spend interesting leisure time, but also to travel to other countries and use high-quality medical services.
Retirement age:
Previously, old-age pension for Turkish citizens was available at age 45. But due to the fact that in the country, due to the low retirement age, the number of pensioners has sharply increased and the percentage of the able-bodied population has decreased, the government has modified this law.
According to the new amendments, women are required to retire after they reach 58 years of age, and for men the retirement age is 60 years.
But if a woman has more than 5 children, then she has the right to retire at 48.
Changes regarding the increase in the retirement age were adopted to stabilize the economy and prevent the appearance of a state budget deficit.
Retirement Age Extension Program:
The Turkish government notes that this is not the last wave of increasing the retirement age. The authorities of this state plan to increase the retirement age for men to 65 by 2046. According to the plans of the country's leadership, women after 2048 will retire after 65 years.
Turkish pension for foreign residents:
A foreigner has the right to receive a Turkish pension only when he has deducted the necessary social contributions. But it is worth knowing that foreign residents do not have the right to make contributions to the state Pension Fund.
If they want to receive a pension in Turkey, they will have to transfer 32% of their salary to a private fund. Only those foreign residents who have a residence permit in Turkey can make contributions to such funds and apply for a funded pension.
How to transfer pension abroad:
To transfer a pension, you should contact the Pension Fund and write an application for relocation. It is also worth visiting the bank where a person receives a pension (in Russia - Sberbank) and write an application for a card that will be valid in Turkey. The pension will be transferred to the received card in Turkish lira at the rate of the Central Bank. You can withdraw money from the bank.
Registration of residence permit:
If a Russian pensioner decides to move to Turkey to live, then he needs to take care of obtaining a residence permit in this country. A residence permit in this country for pensioners can be obtained on the basis of the acquisition of real estate.
The main document issued when buying real estate is TAPU (document of ownership). Based on it, an annual residence permit is opened even without providing funds to an account with a Russian pensioner.
A person can get a temporary or permanent residence permit. A temporary one is issued for up to a year, and a permanent one can be obtained only after 8 years of residence in Turkey. A temporary residence permit must be renewed every year.
