Ataturk Memorial Day is celebrated annually on November 10 in Turkey.

On this day in 1938, Turkey lost its hero. The first president and founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk fell asleep in eternal sleep in his residence.

Since then, every year on November 10, at 9 hours 5 minutes in the morning (the exact time of his death), a minute of silence has been announced. Cars, buses, trains, motor ships freeze for a moment, and even planes postpone their departure.
